We understand that embarking on a new endeavor can bring up a multitude of questions, and we’re here to provide you with open-hearted answers. This section is designed to address any uncertainties you may have and provide clarity on important aspects of the program and your trip. We believe that an informed and empowered partnership is the key to success, so let’s dive in and explore the answers to your burning questions.
Teacher Questions
For Free Membership, you get to view travel destinations (if available), join the private Facebook group, receive newsletters and obtain member assets. To book a trip with a resort, you must upgrade to a Pro Membership, allowing you to book destinations up to six months in advance. Upgrade to Premium Membership (if available) to book up to a year in advance.
We accept fit, skilled and practicing yoga teachers who have at a minimum obtained a 200-hour yoga teacher training certification and experience teaching at least 100 classes.
Teaching contracts are for one week, with the option to add additional weeks as you wish.
The daily teaching schedule is fixed and unchangeable. Outside your mandatory teaching responsibility, time off for personal travel is up to you so long as you don’t miss a scheduled class.
Teachers are required to teach two classes per day, six days a week. Sunday is excluded and considered a travel day.
There is no compensation by the resort. Instead, you agree to teach in exchange for a discounted booking on accommodations, meals, and access to amenities.
Accommodations vary by resort. At a minimum, your accommodations include one standard hotel room (king or queen beds), en-suite bathroom, toiletries, towels, mini-fridge, wi-fi, flat-screen TV’s and access to the amenities on site such as fitness rooms, entertainment and water sports.
The resorts are typically offer access to amenities such as swimming pools, spas, fitness centers, entertainment, water sports and restaurants. Some newer resorts include water parts, climbing walls, surf simulation and lazy rivers. Check with the booking details to see what each resort offers.
To become a Resort Pro, you need to submit your online membership form which includes qualifications for teaching opportunities.
Bookings are made in one week increments, arriving on Sunday and departing on the following Sunday. Make your selection online by browsing our available destinations by region or by available dates. Load your cart by selecting one week increments. Submit your itinerary for approval and await confirmation from Resort Pro International. Then, book your flight and prepare your bags.
If you find yourself unable to travel or need to change your dates, please contact us immediately to cover the vacated session. You have the flexibility to change resorts or dates up to 90 days before your departure, subject to a $250 change fee per week. Any changes received within 90 days of departure will be considered a cancellation and will result in the forfeiture of the administration fee, gift fees paid to Resort Pro International LLC, in addition to the $250 change fee.
In the unlikely event that the resort cancels your booking, we will work with each teacher to make alternative arrangements through a credit on future teaching vacations.
Travel insurance is highly recommended to ensure reimbursement of travel expenses in case of unforeseen circumstances.
Travel visas may be required depending on the location of the resort. Your trip is designated a tourist vacation so work permits are not necessary.
Your Gold Membership with Resort Pro International allows you to book up to 6 months in advance. Upgrade to Platinum Membership to book up to 1 year in advance.
Teachers are required to select a specific location at the time of booking. Changes are prohibited.
Resort Pro International provides support throughout the process, including pre-departure information, ongoing communication, and a point of contact while at the resort.
